unfortunately, I was not able to stay to my promise and no longer, will my post be the first of the page. Sorry Fortunato. But I had not, and have not forgotten, so here is my contribution.

It perhaps, may sound a bit satircal, but only such a response to this video is accurate I assume.
My response : of pure enjoyment, and impressiveness towards the creator of this video. I probably had never laughed like this before towards such a topic.

Agreeing with Renato and, as he put it, it is just "ignorance manipulation." while very 'charmingly' using 'facts' ('' because we do not know if they are real) to encourage fear of a religion.

Even IF 90% of immigation are Muslims, and in 2026 French will be a Muslim state, it does not mean that culture has to change.

Religion is an integral part of a culture, I agree, but it is NOT culture, and it is NOT the ONLY part that makes up a culture. Therefore, just because there is immigration of Muslims to a country, it does not mean culture changes only because of that.
A simple example, take ourselves. Most of the foreigners in Plzen, are Portugese. But have the Portugese been able to maintain all aspects of their culture here? As with the beginning of every new year, an aim to establish Praxe in this university has been made by the students. Would you be able to say that you have been able sustain, not just idea, but also the feeling and the passion of Praxe in Plzen as in Universities back home ? Have you been able to bring part of you culture to Plzen ? Think now, do you not fit as a temporary immigrant in Czech Republic? And have you not acquired more things from Czech Republic than that what you have given to it ? ...

Religion is always changing. Or better said, not religion, but the way people follow religion. 100 years ago in Christianity, women did not bare their skin, and it was not until the 1950's where women wore a two-peice swimsuit, i.e. bikini's. Today, it is not seen wrong and the change in culture has accepted it. So, is it not possible for other religions, or religious values/ways to change? ...

  3. Well well well! The first 2 comments of this place! I am really glad that finally someone spent some time reading and comment my small posts!

The video is in fact very aggressive. Religion is not and will never be an easy subject to talk about. I am not so much into the field bu I do respect any religion that defends the Good (despite even the good for one religion might b the Evil or threat to the other). The sketch shows the pure mathematical models to which, many times, our society bases its beliefs and paths. It soes not take the person as an individual with rights of looking for a better life in a different country in which the majority does not belong to the same Religion.

People are free to move where they want, since they respect the law, and they always take some part of their traditions and try to stick to them, at least at home. With the increasing number of foreign people in a host country, the culture of that country is threatened. Note that this might even not be a bad thing.

Answering to Hena's questions, our stay in Plzen cannot be compared to mass movement of people into certain countries. By this time we are just students. We do not belong to the Czech Republic system. We do not pay our taxes to them, so we are quite on the border of being 'in' or 'out'. On the other way, nobody can say we are stealing places of work to Czech people or that we are occupying places at school meant for Czech students, because we run in a parallel course.Of course if we would not immigrate, we would not have this amazing opportunity of studying medicine. But aren't we giving them enough reward to even rebuild the University?

I am sorry if the video touched you personally. It was not he goal since the beginning. I just have a problem with the identity of each country that, despite the movement of people should mantain its basic traditions and nationality.

  4. no no no! was not taken in a bad way, i jsut read this now and dont have much time to reply, but just wanted to clarify that, if youw ere talking about me, i was not upset at all! and i was actually really impressed and liked the fact that we could talk about these things.. becuase like you said, religion will never be easy to talk about, but if people can put aside their emotiosn and just think practically, it shall not be so difficutl.. and i think would be educating for all of us..
About the quesiton i asked, they were just in referral to the video, i wasn talking about all aspects of moving 'immigrating' but i understood what you meant. will come back later with more.. for now, kisses
